The Sound Of Revolution was created in 2016 when agent Martijn van den Heuvel joined the Loud Noise team.
Martijn is the frontman for Dutch hardcore band No Turning Back for close to 20 years now and always had a profound connection to the hardcore scene. “Touring the world for close to 20 years has connected me thoroughly with a lot of hardcore bands and band members I am proud to call friends now”, says Van Den Heuvel. “It has been a dream of mine for years to promote a hardcore festival, having bands and idols from my youth come and play. With The Sound Of Revolution, this became a reality”.
The first edition of the festival was held at the venue Klokgebouw in Eindhoven (Netherlands) on Saturday November 19, 2016, with bands as Ignite, Cockney Rejects, Judge, Discharge, No Turning Back, Discipline, Lifeless, Angel Crew and World Eater. The first edition was sold out days in advance with 3600 visitors.
In 2017, the festival grew to 6.000 visitors from all over the world and the event was once more sold out in advance. The line-up featured Sick Of It All, Cro-Mags, Stars and Stripes, Battery, Cold World, No Warning, Dog Eat Dog playing ‘All Boro Kings’, No Turning Back and many more.
The Sound Of Revolution will return on November 2nd and 3rd, 2018 in the venue Klokgebouw for the third time.
