New names for The Sound of Revolution!

Life of Agony, Madball, Dead Swans and 18 Miles added to the line-up!

The brand new Dutch hardcore festival The Sound of Revolution has announced four new names for the event on the 19th of November 2016 in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. The legendary American metal band Life of Agony was already confirmed two weeks ago, when the band had to cancel their show on the Dutch metal festival Dynamo Metalfest. Madball (USA), Dead Swans (UK) and 18 Miles (NL) have also been added to the line-up.

Shortly after Life of Agony cancelled their performance at Dynamo Metalfest in Eindhoven due to an injury of the drummer, the band was confirmed for The Sound of Revolution. The organisation is happy to have such a legendary name performing on the first edition of the festival. Loud Noise booker Martijn van Heuvel “I’ve seen Life of Agony in 1995 on Dynamo Open Air and I have been a fan ever since. It’s a band wedged between hardcore and metal, with a distinct sound and lyrics full of emotion. They have inspired many other groups.”

The kings of New York hardcore, Madball, will also perform on The Sound of Revolution. Martijn says: “Madball was the first hardcore band that turned my world upside down. The album ‘Set It Off’ is a record that changed everything for me and it is also the reason why I am still in the scene today. Madball has always inspired No Turning Back when it comes to the live shows and also when it comes to the music. I’m proud to have my friends and my favourite hardcore band on the festival.

They will show us why they are still the kings of the New York Hardcore scene.”

After a break of three years, Dead Swans from the United Kingdom picked up their instruments again. The band’s show The Sound of Revolution will be their first on Dutch soil. The group, with their trademark Boston sound, has inspired many new bands across Europe since the release of their EP in 2008. “We have performed with Dead Swans often and their energy on stage can be compared to an exploding bomb. Fans of acts like Modern Life is War and American Nightmare will love this.”

The young band 18 Miles from Amsterdam will also perform at The Sound of Revolution.

The following bands have already been confirmed for the event: Ignite (USA), Cockney Rejects (UK), Judge (USA), Discharge (UK), No Turning Back (NL), Discipline (NL), Lifeless (USA), Angel Crew (NL/BE) and World Eater (DE).

The brand new festival will take place on the 19th of November 2016, at the venue Klokgebouw in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. A ticket costs €25 (without service fees). You can buy tickets here:
